Who We Are

Here at Main St. Vinyl/Unsung, we’ve got a little bit of everything. From our Bigfoot and Mothman t-shirts to our wide selection of quality vinyl to the oddities and unique, custom builds that decorate every space in our shop, we’re dedicated to keeping things weird. 

From the time we opened in 2017 to now, our business has been a family one. With three brothers and a sister at the helm, each of the products in our store is either handmade or handpicked with our customers in mind. We offer custom screenprinting, custom salvaged builds, and a plethora of other services. 

As the years have gone by they’ve brought a number of changes to our store. In early 2022, we bought Main Street Vinyl (the local record shop) from its previous owner Bill Herren. While it was a significant readjustment to add a new section of our store, we’ve had so much fun continuing Bill’s work of sharing music with Hamilton. 

We’ve got big things planned for our little store and are so thankful for all the love and support we receive from our customers.

The Record Store

We’ve got something for everyone when it comes to our music selection. Hip-hop, R&B, pop and rock, a little bit of punk, a sprinkle of jazz and soul, all the classics you’d blast from the old stereo in your room in spite of your parents’ disdain, and more. 

Every Wednesday and Friday night we put out a flip-through of our carefully selected “new-to-the-store” used records for that week. These videos go out on our Instagram (@unsungsalvagedesignco) and TikTok (@usdco) usually around 7 or 8 pm EST. On Wednesday only, we allow people to comment and claim any of the records in the video and we will hold that record for about 2 days, unless other arrangements are made to pick it up at a later date, before putting it back out on the floor. 

Many of the records that are showcased in our weekly flip-throughs come from people who bring in their old records and sell them to us. We buy used records all the time and encourage anyone who wishes to get rid of their vinyl to bring it down to us and we’ll see what we can offer you. Our prices are based on condition and title, as well as demand. Some of our sought-after artists are Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and others. If you aren't sure about the records you wish to sell, just give us a call and we can let you know whether or not to bring them in. We can't guarantee over the phone that we'll buy the records, but it helps to know if the titles are what we're looking for beforehand. 

Every year, our store takes part in Record Store Day (RSD) which happens in April on a Saturday.

This year, Record Store Day is April 22, 2022. There is also a Black Friday RSD in November on the usual Black Friday. For more information, you can visit the official RSD site here.
